ABOUt

Dr. Candace Gunnarsson conducts educational seminars and conducts health economic and outcomes research for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies. Prior to being an independent consultant, she was the Vice President of Health Economics and Outcomes Research for CTI Clinical Trials and Consulting, a global CRO. In 2013, CTI acquired her company S² Statistical Solutions, a boutique consulting firm in Cincinnati, Ohio, with a focus on data mining, statistical analyses and economic analysis services for pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and medical device companies. Dr. Gunnarsson specializes in big data analytics and enjoys performing data analysis training seminars for universities, payers, healthcare industry employees, and non-profit agencies.

Dr. Gunnarsson received her Doctorate with Data Sciences Certification from the University of Cincinnati, her Master of Arts from Florida Atlantic University, and her Bachelor of Arts from San Diego State University. She has trained at the SAS ® Institute and received her Certificate of Instruction in Mathematical and Statistical Sciences from the Institute for Professional Education.

Dr. Gunnarsson's teaching experience includes Professor of graduate and undergraduate statistics courses at Xavier University and University of Cincinnati. She is also an invited faculty member to the Amputation Prevention Symposium. Most recently, Dr. Gunnarsson played an essential role in developing, launching, and teaching the new Master of Science program in Health Economics and Clinical Outcomes Research at Xavier University.

Dr. Gunnarsson's research has appeared in leading health services and medical journals. She has authored a vast portfolio of publications and presentations and has received numerous industry and teaching awards throughout her career, including in 2015 winning the Health Services Research (HSR), John M. Eisenberg Article-of-the-Year Award and in 2011 being named Business Person of the Year from the Sharonville Chamber of Commerce. In 2001, Dr. Gunnarsson received the Executive MBA Teacher of the Year Award from Xavier University.
